Field Services Technical Officer – Maintenance

The role

As part of our Land & Aerospace group, the Field Services Technical Officer – Maintenance, will test, diagnose, repair, maintain and upgrade a wide range of electrical, electro-mechanical and general equipment.

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Participate in the ongoing support, servicing, repairs, maintenance and upgrade of Deployable Health items at the Deployable Heath Capability Support Centre (DHCSC), SEQld and at various Defence locations around Australia.
  • Take an active role in maintenance and support work carried out in the DHCSC and Defence locations.
  • Assist in acceptance, test, and set to work of assets at DHCSC and Defence locations.
  • Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety and duty of care and the quality management system
  • Ensure adherence to approved work practices

Flexible work arrangements such as 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Hold an Electrical worker license
  • Industry experience in a similar environment, supporting medium subsystems or group of smaller subsystems and/or equipment
  • Experience in circuit and wiring fault finding in industrial systems
  • Experience in installation, maintenance and repair of heating, cooling and refrigeration systems
  • Experience working within a Defence maintenance environment
  • Experience with workmanship inspection and adherence to stipulated standards
  • Proficient in the use of PCs and relevant software applications (Microsoft Office Suite etc)

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
